"Go Live" Survival 101

Your Go Live date can be stressful for anyone and leading up to that point is the hardest part. But it is not always the case. Our customer, Cardinal Services Group out of Windsor, Canada knows exactly how to handle the pressures. Here is a few things that we think that they did that would be helpful in your Go Live experience.

1) Toasted with the launch of the software with a bottle of Dom Perignon
2) Gave everyone in the office stress balls
3) Made fun PowerPoints on GlobalEdge and sent them to everyone in the office
4) Left key points of the software on the white board in the lunch room (i.e. How to save/exit in Globaledge-F8)
5) Gave the employees homework (i.e. A/P--Choose 5 or 6 different invoices that you entered through the week and re-enter them on GlobalEdge)
6) Make "bubbles" to record the things they LOVE about the software. All bubbles were collected, randomly drawn from a barrel and prizes were awarded.

On the day of their "Go Live" date, they collected everyone's car keys on the way in the door (to prevent anyone from running), then they pulled random keys for door prizes.

Getting everyone involved and excited about the new software can really make the "Go Live" date a lot easier.
